The Saxon Garden, one of the beautiful parks of Warsaw, Poland, is located in the city centre and stands not only as a wonderful oasis in the middle of the agitation of the city but also a historic landmark of this old European city.

About the Saxon Garden:

Interesting to know:

The Saxon Garden was built at the end of the 17th century and was made public in 1727, thus making it one of the oldest city parks in the world.

The Saxon Palace, the building around which the park had been constructed, was destroyed during the World War II. The locals seem to regret its lost, and they have every reason to, since there are plans to rebuilt the monument.

The baroque statues and the lake where visitors may admire beautiful ducks, as well as the Water Tower and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are the most important features of the park. The Opera House as well as the Church of St. Anthony of Padua are also located here.

Tourists enjoy spending time here with their families, after having explored the entire city.

Useful to know:

There is a playground available within its perimeters.

The Krakowie Przedmiescie Street, filled with interesting shops and restaurants is only 5 minutes away.

This park is opened all year long and the access is free.
